Installation and commissioning of vacuum breaker (valve)

Installation of vacuum breaker (valve)

(1) The vacuum breaker (valve) should be installed at the top of the pipeline, and the atmospheric vacuum breaker should be at least 150mm higher than the overflow water level at the outlet; The pressure type vacuum breaker should be at least 300mm higher than the overflow water level at the outlet.

(2) The air inlet of the vacuum breaker should be facing downwards.

(3) The installation height of the hose type vacuum breaker should be set at least 1000mm above the ground; For fixed appliances (such as bathtubs or washing machines), they should be raised at least 150mm above their overflow water level.

(4) When there is a possibility of freezing, a vent valve should be installed at the lower position of the inlet pipe.

(5) When equipped with an exhaust valve, the vacuum breaker should be located below the exhaust valve.

(6) There should be reliable ground drainage measures in the installation site of the vacuum breaker.

Vacuum breaker (valve) debugging

After the installation of the vacuum breaker, on-site debugging and acceptance must be carried out before formal delivery for use. It can be carried out together with the water supply system pipeline in accordance with the current<<Construction Quality Acceptance Specification for Water Supply, Drainage and Heating Engineering>>GB50242 requirements.

2. The on-site debugging of the vacuum breaker should be carried out according to the following steps after installation, on the basis of normal water supply conditions:

2.1. System pressure testing shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the current<Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Water Supply, Drainage and Heating Engineering>>GB50242. During debugging, the valve at the outlet of the vacuum breaker should be closed. For vacuum breakers without a closed valve in the outlet pipeline, their inlet valve should be closed.
